can't see a video from iPhoto on iMovie

Question

can't see a video from iPhoto on iMovie

So I have imported 3 videos from a DSLR camera Memory card, two of the videos are really sort (10-20S) and the 3ed one is an 8M video witch that is the video that I need, the thing is that I can't see any of them on iMovie so its not about the size altho idk really if the size of DSLR video might be a lot bigger than an iPhone video...

anyone know why thats happening or how I can see it? ( trying to do a time laps from the 8M video)

-trying to do it from an MacBook Air

Did you import them directly into iMovie from within iMovie ? What version of iMovie are you using and what is the format from the DSLR ?

I tried to open iPhoto from iMovie but i didn't saw the Video i was looking for (didn't saw any of the 3 DSLR videos)

I can see the video in iPhoto but not when i open iPhoto in iMovie..

not sure how to check the iMovie version but the MacBook is on the 10.11.16 Update...

and its a DCLR for Photos more then video so its just on video mode... (Canon D3300 i think, it might be Nikon i'm not sure)

Only the Photos library that is designated as the System Library is visible in iMovie. See:

its the Same tho... I tried to see it through Photos as well and i couldn't see the 3 videos... :/

I'm afraid I'm a bit confused - earlier you said "I can see the video in iPhoto but not when i open iPhoto in iMovie.."

An alternative would be to copy the videos off the memory card onto your computer with the Finder then drag and drop them into an event or project timeline iMovie.

I'll try to do that later, when I did it I didn't had a lot of time i drag it to the desktop and i didn't had time so i stoped it... will try later today
