Sep 19, 2016 11:40 AM in response to jhddby becky_s22,Hi jhdd,
I understand that after updating to iOS 10, your previously connected Wi-Fi networks aren't automatically reconnecting. I know it's nice to automatically connect to a high-speed internet connection like this automatically to save your data, so I'm happy to help.
Check out our article on troubleshooting Wi-Fi connections here:

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Cheers! -

Oct 3, 2016 12:28 AM in response to tKunschby jhdd,I enabled SSID Broadcast and it seems to be working fine. Probably there is a problem with hidden wifi networks.

Oct 3, 2016 11:22 AM in response to jhddby Michael Spryn,I have this identical problem. I have a 5s running iOS 10.0.2. The phone keeps forgetting my home network which is a hidden network. Other networks seem to be fine. I'm reluctant to reset my network settings and lose all my passwords. I will try that if nothing else works.
My neighbor is having a similar problem. I don't know her configuration details, yet.
Added note:
My wife is having the same problem. Same model phone, same network.

Oct 3, 2016 1:28 PM in response to Michael Sprynby jhdd,Hi, you dont need to reset the network settings. This is not successful. You can only make your network visible. Apple knows the problem and working on a patch hopefully.

Oct 3, 2016 5:59 PM in response to jhddby SoderbergBronze,Yes, definitely an ios10 problem, it's a disaster. I have 5 devices, all going haywire with the wifi connectivity. Don't bother with resetting network connections or settings, it won't help. It is Apple's problem and hopefully they will figure it out soon and get the patch to us. I had a 6 plus that was doing it the second I updated to ios10 and then I got my iPhone 7 plus and it is doing the exact same thing. So is my husband's iPhone, my iPad, iMac and MacBook, all the second I updated to ios10 and Sierra. Come on Apple, stop acting like Android!!

Oct 3, 2016 6:06 PM in response to becky_s22by SoderbergBronze,Useless link! I was just on hold for this issue for half and hour, someone finally answered my call and hung up on me. I feel like I am using an Android. I have 5 Apple devices and they are all going haywire with the wifi connectivity since updating to iOS10 and Sierra. I have already gone over my data allowance with my carrier because of this problem. I sure hope an update to fix this issue comes soon, I am loyal to Apple but this is getting frustrating. I have spent over 5 hours at work trying to work on this, and three Apple support calls, to no avail.

Oct 4, 2016 2:58 AM in response to SoderbergBronzeby jhdd,Hi, maybe you could give more informations? Like your Device, the Operating System and network status hidden or visible? Until now the problem only affects the iPhone 5S/C and hidden wifi networks. I dont have these problems with iPad 6, iPad 2 and iMac (Sierra). If you make your wifi network visible all works fine or not? I think there are no big advantages if the wifi network is hidden. Anyway its a bug and should be eliminated.

Oct 4, 2016 9:06 AM in response to jhddby SoderbergBronze,My devices are iPhone 6, iPhone 7 plus (was a 6s plus before I switched), iPad Pro, new MacBook Pro, new 27" iMac. All mobile devices are running iOS10.0.2 (Problem started the second I updated to iOS10, I ran the iPhone 6s Plus before on the iOS10 beta and didn't have the problem) and iMac and MacBook are running Sierra. My networks aren't hidden but require a password.
Every time my iMac or MacBook go to sleep, upon waking they have dropped wifi connectivity, and it is a real beast to reconnect, takes about 15 minutes. The mobile devices have been fine on the wifi but if I leave the network and then come back, I have to force them to rejoin, they also are hard to reconnect. I think there is also a problem with my files being uploaded/downloaded from iCloud with the new Sierra update. I got about 80% of my content up in the cloud but for some reason it just stopped uploading, I can't get it to restart the process. I absolutely love that feature if I could get it to work. I am a self-employed artist and travel a lot for work, and I work at my studio down the street where my desktop is and the bring work home with my MacBook. So awesome to have my files, portfolio and invoices available on all devices. I have been wanting that feature for years! I am praying this is all just a glitch they are working on. When I Google the issue it is sure obvious it's not just me, it seems to be pretty widespread. I have an appointment at the Genius Bar today, going to give it one last shot. I was hung up on last night on every call I placed to Apple, got pretty frustrating. I have spent days trying to fix this issue, I think if I could just hear from an Apple person that the issue is in the software and they are working on it, I would calm down and just be patient LOL I hate being so dependent on my devices for my work and business, but I guess that's just life, no sense in crying about it ha ha!
