Logic Pro X score question

Hello Community,

How can I protect bar numbers I already arranged in the beginning of a Score, say until page 15 for they not being influenced by changes I make in bar 16 and so far. I set 5 bars as Maximum but what ever changes I make at the end of the score, everything messed up at the beginning.

Any ideas, please

Hi Indyuser,

I start from the beginning to create a good looking score. As I see that in the first page is better to have 5 bars, than I use a Layout Tool to add bars from the second page. In the next page I do other way roung and so forth. That way, step by step I'm moving from page to page. But suddenly it changes the number of a bars I arranged before. Therefore I thought that it there must be some way to protect a previous ready bars.

Thanks in advanced.

Since you were kind enough to mark this as solved.... let me add the following.

Without explaining why - and there is a good reason....

When you use the layout tool to move measure around, all measure "Following" (AFTER) the measure you are moving will be reset. If you don't want this to happen, when you move the the measure with the layout tool, hold down the option key as well. This will preserve all changes made after the measure you are currently moving. ( remember if you forget to do this - all downstream staves will be reset to the defaults as defined in the global properties parameter).

Remember control Z is your friend....

Hope that gives you a bit more useful information....

Aha!

<hold down the option key> That's great and very usefull. I'll remember that. Thanks.

Can I ask two questions, please.

1. About a score. In my project strings mostly have 5 staffs ( 5 tracks) but in 2 places they are in groups.

Violin I 2 staffs, Violin II 2 staffs and so forth. Can Option help on this situation? I am not at home at the moment. How to do one page strings be in a regular (5 tracks/staffs) , next page they have 10 tracks/staffs and ater back again?

----------------

2. I'm going to bounce tracks in a place the first time. I have made a Copy of the project.

My question is. If after bounce I want to edit some part, say Flute 2's part, how should I do? In arrange window I will have Audio only. Is there a way to go back in place or I should make copy from main copy, edit and start over again?

I hope I have made a clear picture of the situation.

Thanks in advance.
