Q: iPhone 6 Plus iOS X iTunes starts by itself

Since I've updated my iPhone 6+ to iOS X iTunes starts up all by itself, seemingly randomly.  I have bluetooth hearing aids that are connected to the phone, but even with turning them off, iTunes starts up.  How do I stop it?  I've done a hard restart of the phone with no success on resolving the issue.  Annoying to say the least.  Thanks for any insights.

    Hi Barry Schwartz,

It sounds like your music for some reason starts playing on its own, randomly. I know it's nice to not be surprised by apps like this on your iPhone, so I'm happy to help.

That seems like some software in the background is causing it to start, so I would quit all the running apps on the device and then test that out for a bit:

iOS: Force an app to close

    Double-click the Home button.

Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.

Swipe the app up to close it.

When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Cheers!
