Sep 18, 2016 2:24 PM in response to ilost1234by Kappy,If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only when it is connected to the Internet by Wi-Fi or cellular. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. Neither Apple nor anyone else can find your device. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:
1. Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product
3. AT&T. Sprint, and Verizon can block stolen phones/tablets

It pays to be proactive by following the advice on using Find My Phone before you lose your device:

Sep 18, 2016 2:30 PM in response to Kappyby ilost1234,I am looking at Find my iPhone for the last days but obviously my phone is turnes off, so that's not very helpful. I reported my IMEI to the police but can they track the phone even if it's taken out of Spain? I mean i had (still have) plenty of questions and police officers weren't very interested in answering some

Sep 18, 2016 2:46 PM in response to ilost1234by Kappy,No one can track the device nor would they try. The only tracking would be via Find My Phone and only if it was enabled prior to the loss and if the phone connects to the Internet (must be turned on.)
