Q: Photos app not scanning people

I have an iPhone 6S with IOS10 installed. I have had the Photos App open and the phone plugged in. There have been 21 photos scanned for the past four days (all that was done in the first 15 mins), and there's only one entry in Memories. Memories is also saying that it's "Analyzing Library... (0%)". My iPad Mini is scanning slowly - but it's moving.

Both devices are logged in using the same Apple ID and connecting to photos on iCloud.

Any ideas how I can restart photo scanning on the iPhone?

Thanks - Robert

Photo scanning only happens when the phone is charging and locked and happens on each device, not over iCloud, so whatever happens on your iPad Mini will not automatically happen on your iPhone. To allow sufficient time for scanning, allow your phone to charge overnight as this process may take time.

Thanks. I've had my phone plugged in to a charger with the Photos App open for four days (I'm retired!) and after 21 photos were scanned in the first 15 minutes, nothing else happened. The phone says that 21 have been scanned and 3,118 photos remain to be scanned.
