Problem cropping photos in iOS 10

Since I installed iOS on my Mini, when I crop a photo in Photos it seems to work, but when I try to use the cropped photo on Twitter (and elsewhere), it uses uncropped version. I have use a second app (like Snapseed) to crop it again. I crop ALL my photos and have accumulated 40,000 of them in two years, so this is a huge amount of additional work. I hope you fix it or I'll have to abandon Photos for another editor altogether.

I figured out why...

At least for PNG screenshots, when I crop them in iOS 10 photos, Apple Photos saves them as JPG while still keeping the PNG extension. This causes untold problems in several apps, like trying to post crops of screenshots onto discussion forumss...

I suspect maybe this is an iOS 10 bug, hopefully Apple will fix.
