Question

watch series 1

I own an watch series 1. I am unable to sync only one playlist at a time. When I try to add another playlist, it deletes the previous playlist and loads only the one I've selected.

Are you referring to the new Series 1 watch, or an original Apple Watch? From what I can tell in the User Guide, http://help.apple.com/watch/#/apd483798d11 it does not mention being able to sync more than one playlist. If you attempt to change or select another playlist on the Watch app on the iPhone, it will only allow the selection of one playlist. This is my original Apple Watch with watchOS 3, and an iPhone 6S with iOS 10.0.1.

Hi

Only a single playlist can be synced to Apple Watch at any given time.

The playlist can include up to 250 songs or 2GB of music, subject to the relevant limit having been chosen first:

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > Music > Storage Limit.
