Q: Transferring Purchases

"You must transfer this device to your Apple ID to join Apple Music. You will be unable to transfer this device again for 90 days" just wondering exactly what this means and how it will affect myself and the person who is allowing me to use their apple ID to get apple music since they don't use it before I do anything?

    Hello sophiar13,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I see that you are wondering about the message you are receiving when you try to associate a device with your Apple Music account. What it means is that because the device is associated with your friend's Apple ID and if you associate it with your Apple ID, it will be 90 days before you can change it back to another Apple ID or your friends Apple ID. You can take a look at this info from the following article:

When you try to associate another Apple ID with a device that was already associated, you might see a message that says, "This device is associated with another Apple ID. You cannot associate this device with another Apple ID for [number] days." Depending on when you associated your device with your Apple ID, you might need to wait up to 90 days to associate the device with another Apple ID.

View and remove your associated devices in iTunes

    Best regards.
