Sep 18, 2016 5:20 PM in response to Howardofocalby Diana.McCall,Hi. How are you controlling the Apple TV with the Sony remote? Are you using optical commands direct to ATV, programmed to send the correct commands? Or are you using HDMI-CEC to control ATV from the TV over the HDMI cable? I use the latter mode with my Samsung TV and it was hit or miss until I made sure to see the "connecting" message on the TV, ensuring it was fully aware of the ATV. Sometimes this requires selecting the Apple TV input even after the correct input has been selected automatically.
The Siri remote doesn't have many finctions. What do you find is missing?

Sep 20, 2016 8:07 AM in response to Diana.McCallby Howardofocal,Let me try to explain again.
I have been using my appletv 3 to airplay football games from my ipad 4. When doing so I am able to use my sony bravia remote to switch the tv into picture adjust mode so I can modify things like brightness, and especially zoom and aspect ratio. This has worked for years.
When I installed my new appletv 4, and use airplay in the same manor, my tv will not respond at all to the same bravia remove key that does work with the appletv 3. If I unplug the appletv4 and plug in the appletv3 everything works normally again.
Weird, eh?

Sep 20, 2016 8:21 AM in response to Howardofocalby Diana.McCall,When the TV connects to ATV using HDMI-CEC (Bravia net or whatever), some of the remote functions are forwarded to ATV. This is not restricted to the normal "player" controls. This capability may have been enhanced with tvOS 10, and may be interfering with your use of the remote. You say this occurs when using AirPlay. Does it also happen when using an ATV app?
