Issue with smart connector

hello everyone,

I've been using my iPad Pro for a while now with the smart connector. Today however I noticed that the Smart Keyboard wouldn't respond to my input and I kept getting the error message "this accessory is not supported by this device."

When took a look t the smart connector on my iPad I noticed some discolouration, almost like it was burnt out. Can anyone please help me to understand how or why this might have happened? It's never dropped in water or anything else for that matter.

Ill post a pic below. Thanks in advance.

Hi. When electrical contacts carry current, they can collect certain chemicals from the atmosphere. This doesn't mean your air is bad, it happens everywhere. Try to clean the contacts gently. Be sure to check the ones on the keyboard also.
