Q: Weird iPod Contacts Issue

I bought my son an iPod touch a year or so ago. It was initially linked to my apple iD via family share. At a point in time his mother took over his family share and my apple ID is no longer linked to his iPod, however my contacts continue to populate on his iPod. Example... If he opens up an iMessage and starts typing the letter P, all my contacts with the letter P populate.

I have erased all content on his iPod and I have gone so far as to create a new Apple ID for him, yet this continues to happen.

Any ideas what I can do? He's 7 and he's send some interesting text messages to people he should not be sending messages to.

Thanks in advance.

You said "I have erased all content on his iPod ".

    Then what did you do?

If you restored from backup the contact suggestions are still present.

Also, after restoring is Family sharing not present and is a different ID being used for Settings>iCloud?

The contacts are hidden within iCloud. I've gone to the iPod and removed all of them (opened up iMessage, started a new message, started with the letter "A", tapped the circled I, and removed from recents. I've done that with every letter A-Z.

I can erase all data, set up a new, and when the iPod is signed into the cloud and turn contacts on, they all come back.

There has to be a way to delete all hidden contacts from the cloud without creating a new Apple ID.
