Q: iOS 10 Update Failed, iPhone 6 Now Frozen On Logo Screen
I connected my iPhone 6 (it was stuck in and endless Recovery Mode loop with force closes) to iTunes and tried to update it to iOS 10. After about 20 minutes the update failed. Now my phone is frozen on the Logo screen with the update loading bar under it. Force restarting it brings me back to the recovery mode screen.
I also tried using a different cord, restarting my computer, updating iTunes...nothing seemed to work. I tried this multiple times in the last 36 hours with ZERO luck.

MY device got into a recovery mode as well once the download for ios 10 was completed on itunes.
I had to unplug my device and plug it in again.. Make sure all the drivers are up to date. watch out for any alert message or error code populating on your itunes.
Itunes and computer has to be up to date. your cable has to be the original.
Although i made a backup,,, recovery mode was not something i wanted. It worked for me once i followed this step.
Install the latest version of iTunes. (12.5.1.21)
- Restart your computer.
- Check for updates to your Mac or PC. If you restart your computer for an update, check for updates again after you restart.
- Force your device to restart. (When you see the option to Restore or Update, choose Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data. Wait while iTunes downloads the software for your device. If the download takes more than 15 minutes and your device exits recovery mode, let the download finish, then repeat these steps.)
