Duplicate unpaired Apple Watches

I have had to restore my iPhone a number of times to fix an error.

After this I restore my Apple Watch from a backup which gets it back into working order.

When checking my Health App, I see duplicates of my Apple Watch, and when exploring further I see that the duplicates are unpaired versions.

Why should this happen? It's the same watch? Why can't iOS simply keep my Apple watch as one source rather than keep the data sources list messy with silly redundant duplicates of my Apple Watch. The data points may be different but the source is the same.

Please fix this. Thank you.
