Q: Homekit Remote Access not Working
Hi.
I have a Schlage Sense door lock 100% functional when conected via bluetooth with my iphone (ios 10) either when I´m managing it with the Sense or with Homekit app.
The problem begins when I try to have it working remotely.
Yes:
1) My 3rd Generation Apple TV (updated) is logged with the same iCloud account as I use in my other devices including my iPhone
2) Apple TV shows as "connected" when I check my hub status within Homekit app
3) Apple TV is "always on".
4) I have tried to log out an log in again icloud several times.
Please need help!!
I chose this lock exclusively for the homekit remote access feature.

it would appear that the fault is in schlage's recent firmware update. They posted the following on their web site on sept 18, 2016:
Some Schlage Sense customers have experienced a loss of remote access through the 3rd generation Apple TV after updating their lock to firmware version 3.42.
We're aware of the issue and are working quickly to resolve.
In the meantime, you can learn more details about how to set up an Apple TV and iPad for remote access and automation of your Schlage lock and other HomeKit accessories.
