Recalibrate home button

Issues With The Home Button Should Be Considered Serious Until They Prove Otherwise

I apologize for any grammatical or typographical error's in this post please realize I'm using iPhone dictation to compose this if there's any issue you can blame it on apple

If you're having issues with your Home Button (the ONLY Button On Your iPhone Screen) it's possible the home button has a defect. Determinning the actual cause and severity of the issue is something you don't want to do by yourself. Seek guidance from Apple support. It's very likely you will have to swap out your device for another device while they inspect the issue.

One of my iPhones had a defective home button. It was pressed and it stuck in the down position and never came up again. Obviously, this device had to be completely replaced.

For less serious issues then sticking, you may want to try recalibrating your home button. You can do this by following the directions below.

Open up a stock app, like the Clock. Hold down the sleep/power button until "Slide to power off" appears. When it does, let go of the sleep button and hold down the home button. After about 5-10 seconds, the screen will flash and app will close.
