Touch Screen Unresponsive on Iphone 6, IOS 10

I have 5 x 5s and 10.2 so far has trashed the battery life , 4 of my iPhones have unresponsive screens at times, opening apps , wrong screen, reversed touch, go right but screen goes left , have reset a few times, in the end twice clean installing in dfu mode, for now the one I'm using appears ok apart from the battery lasts a couple of hours only, the rest I'm leaving boxed waiting for an update, I repair to sell , unable sell yet due to unstable... ios 10 must add , on updating a perfectly working 5s 64 gb simply died ! Unable sort it. Apple your products are gd however killing a phone through an update controlled by itunes / Apple, you really ought repair or replace, not say tough it's out of warranty and therefore my loss... unlike you Apple... i earn pennies not billions! For those with problems still I suggest using dfu mode... search it, it's not the standard reset

If this is a software issue i might recommend you to try and downgrade your IOS version it may solve the problem if that is the case that the issue started after upgrading to IOS 10.If not than you tuch screen connector or LCD Conector is not connected right or you might just have to replace the hole screen or just the tuch screen.If the issue realy started after you upgraded to IOS 10 than i belive that is the issue so try downgrading it.

It's very possible the Touch IC is loose. A lot of us with 6 Plus's are having the issue. It could be a con incidence that it happened after the update. Something to look into.

This is my second go around with this issue. Same thing happened last year. The first time they replaced the phone and admitted it was faulty. This time they told me I would have to pay $300. Only option we have is to make our voices heard with this issue. Google "Touch Disease" and you'll see numerous articles talking about it. Join the class action, just google "Touch Disease" and class action. Go to the FTC and raise a complaint.

backup your iPhone.

Put in DFU mode and re-install the phone. Look YouTube how to do this

then restore your Backup

I have this issue too. Worked fine in iOS 9, had problems ever since iOS10, so I don't think it's a hardware issue. Yes "touch disease" is a thing, but you'll see grey flickering bars if you have that. I think this is a different problem.

Do you have the "Settings > Display > Display Zoom" set to "Standard" or "Zoomed"? Some digging suggests this bug happens with the display Zoomed. Try setting it to Standard (i.e., non-zoomed) and see if that helps.

Changing from "Zoomed" to "Standard" looks like it fixed my month long bug, thank you @x.graves !

Awesome! Glad to hear it. It helped me a lot too, but I do still get the bug every once and while. But now I can usually fix it by just putting it to sleep and waking again, which is a lot better than before when I was hard-restarting every other time I opened the phone.

I tried most of the tips given on several forums. Hard reset, putting back to an old backup, toggle zoom. Everything! Still i got a lot of trouble with an unresponsive screen. Apple wont help me becouse my iphone is beyond its garantee period. Is there anyone who can help me?

I have the same problem after iOS 10 upgrade, it worked just fine before this software upgrade. As you can see in the attached image there is a screen vertical area where it's simply not responsive, mostly annoying when trying to use the keyboard (6 key, f key etc). You can see the exact area where the screen does not respond (I draw a single line from top to screen bottom). This is definitely a software bug that needs to be addressed ASAP. I have tried all the other suggestions listed here (full phone erase & restore from backup, standard zoom etc).

I have a eerily similar situation that is incredibly frustrating. Is Apple aware of this and are they actively searching for a solution to this? Any other user fixes out there? The update seems to be the source of my misfortune.
