Q: wireless diagnostics utility seems different

The Scan feature of the Wireless Diagnostics utility seems to give more information on my Mac Pro (mid 2012) than it does on my MacBookPro (mid 2012).  Both are running 10.11.6

Why the diff between the two?

Thanx

Post screenshots of what diagnostics show and point out the differences

There are two different Applications with similar names.

    The one invoked from:

    System preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > (assist me) > (diagnostics) ...

... is a simpler routine to check for gross connection issues and attempt to resolve them on the spot.

    The one invoked from:

Option-Wi-Fi Icon on the menuBar, then selecting "Open Wireless Diagnostics..."

... is a multi-featured Utility bundle with an initial connection-issue portion, and about five additional functions to display charts and graphs of Wi-Fi performance in real time. It also has a best practices recommendations pane and the ability to monitor your connection state from the background on an ongoing basis.

A warning about its "save a report" function: This should be called "developers' snapshot dump". It stores a zipped file with every conceivable setting that could possibly influence the performance of your Wi-Fi connection. It does not have any helpful summary information whatsoever. It is useful only to Wi-Fi developers at Apple.

Figured it out.  Operator error.  Both machines show the same info.  I can be trackpad illiterate at times
