Oct 22, 2016 12:52 AM in response to bikegreenyby GadjetX,Just to add to the discussion that I've been using custom ringtones and 4 fingerprints all along, bluetooth and earphones, and handoff calls to close by devices. The only remedy i've found is that I am restoring from a fresh backup. The first was Friday 14th and the second was Thursday 20th. So, the first lasted 6 days and the second one still goes.
I cannot replicate or trigger the problem. Has anyone managed to safely trigger the problem by himself (calling from another device or sth?)

Oct 22, 2016 5:18 AM in response to GadjetXby philipede1,GAdjetx, I have been having the problem for almost4 weeks now, on 3 different handsets (phones) and it occurs pretty randomly. Might go 20 in and outbound calls no issue, and it might happen on each call, until I reboot. So random. I think the presence of the EarPods in the phone is signaling the phone to direct audio, both from the EarPods earpiece and microphone, but something isn't signaling a complete connect, toggling the external speaker on and then off is like a second signal to the EarPods port. If I pull the EarPods jack out of the phone when this occurs there is still no audio on the handset until I toggle the external speaker on and off again. Sounds like it should be pretty easy for engineering to fix with all the feedback we are giving them, but I guess bugs and glitches are being handled in the order of importance (((

Oct 22, 2016 1:44 PM in response to philipede1by nbadules,I might add that the other party is not hearing us so the mike too is not working until the speakerphone is activated (and deactivated)
