Q: Why can't I reply to messages from my lock and home screen?

I have the iPhone 6+ and I recently updated it to IOS 10 and just found out that I can't reply to messages from my lock screen or when they appear at the top of my home screen; I have to go into the app to reply. The only available options that I have when I swipe right in the Lock screen is "view" (which just magnifies the text) or "clear", I've found this quite irritating and regret updating my phone. In the Home screen when I pull down on the text it just magnifies it and that's it, the keyboard doesn't pop up. Please help...

    Hi there Choulian,

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities.  I'm glad you brought your question about being able to answer messages directly from the lock screen, this is a feature I use all the time and I know it's convenient to not have to totally unlock and go to the app to answer a text quickly.  

    Let's check some settings to make sure we have everything set up properly for you to be able to answer messages from the lock screen.

    From the Settings app:
    1. Touch ID & Passcode (enter your passcode)
    2. Scroll down to ALLOW ACCESS WHEN LOCKED
    3. Be sure that Reply with Message is on and set to green
