Q: Purchasing a movie without WiFi is no longer possible since iOS 10

Hi All,

Since iOS 10 you can no longer purchase movies from the iTunes store without WiFi-coverage.

I know that downloading the movie would require WiFi - that's fine as I prefer to download them to my Mac at home anyway. But the purchase should be possible with 3G or LTE coverage, shouldn't it?

So when on the road with just 3G or LTE coverage and I want to purchase a movie I tap the purchase button, provide my password/touchID just to then receive a notification telling me that downloading the movie requires a WiFi-connection. (Did I say I want to download it? No!)

After tapping OK the notification goes away and the movie was not purchased and purchase button is still there.

Tapping it again will bring the same result: No way of purchasing the movie without WiFi, how bad is this?

By the time I get home I might have forgotten about the movie. Bad for Apple's revenue. Bad for customer's satisfaction!

Am I the only one experiencing this? Anyway I've filed a bug report for this with Apple...

Kind regards,

Ace
