iPhone & Phonak Compilot Air II

Today I got a compilot air 2 to stream audio to my Phonak V90 hearing aids, it works really well I'm really impressed it's so clever how well it works but to be a bit picky the sound of streaming live radio sounds a bit tinny I'd love me to be able to adjust the bass - Is there anyway of altering the audio output from my iPhone ?

I've had a look at some of the apps but they seem to be centred around your music in iTunes, I Mainly listen to Spotify and BBC radio. Is there an app or setting I've not seen ?

Anybody thinking of getting a compilot ? I highly recommend trying it I noticed instantly that having a sound in the background made my tinnitus almost disappear and I can still hear traffic and people talk around me, before I had to wear a headset and that was the only thing I heard was the music - now I have the best of both worlds

Hi Dryw,

I understand that you want to equalize the bass output from your iPhone to improve the audio quality for your hearing aids. I know it's important to get the best audio quality out of your devices, so I'm happy to help.

It sounds like what you're looking for is an equalizer function on your iPhone. This article has some information about how to use the EQ, and should work despite the title mentioning EarPods explicitly:

I have rung the hearing aid company Phonak and they have been very helpful ! Apparently its all in the programming and my audiologist can change all these settings she's going to phone him to explain these streaming features because he's never seen one in action. Very positive news for a brilliant clever product and excellent customer care 😎

I only wish I got my hearing aids sooner.....

Bluetooth iPhone 6 S

When I play music, I use Bluetooth, which sends sound directly to my ears.

I have hearing aids Phonak Audeo V90-13 and use Bluetooth to connect the hearing aids via a Phonak ComPilot II.

This has worked out great on the iPhone 5S and 6 S until a month ago. I have sent ComPilot II to check. It's okay. I often reset the phone and put it all in again.

Now I have a challenge to talk on the phone or play music from my iPhone.

The sound breaks and disappears completely for some moments.

Some call / music - silent - music - silent.

The breaks may be a few seconds or up to ½ minute.

Very staccato.

What do you suggest I do?
