Reminders absent from Location Services List

I'm trying to enable location based reminders in ios10 on my iphone 6s but when i go to settings -> privacy -> location services to enable them I don't see Reminders on the list of apps. Location Services is enabled and I switched my reminder sync to iCloud only (rather than Exchange) but it still doesn't show up.

When I go to settings -> privacy -> reminders, all I see is grey text saying "Applications that have requested access to your reminders will appear here." No other options.

Anyone have any ideas of how I can get Reminders to show up on my location services app list so I can enable location based reminders? Thanks!

Hello kevdoog,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding Reminders is no longer a Location Services option after updating to iOS 10. I use location based reminders often, I can surely understand your concern. I am happy to help get this resolved with you.
First, I recommend restarting the phone. This can resolve many unexpected behaviors. Use the steps below to restart.

  1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists, Reset Location Services by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy. Once this is done apps will stop using your location until permission is granted.

Have an amazing day!
