Unable connect iPhone 10.0.1 to Mac 10.6.8 after connecting to Mac 10.11.6

I have an iPhone 5s running 10.0.1, an iMac running 10.11.6 and a Mac Pro running 10.6.8.

The iPhone and the 10.6.8 Mac Pro have been connecting just fine.

Today, I connected the phone to the 10.11.6 iMac for the first time.

Did the usual trust this computer, yada yada.

Now, iTunes on the Mac Pro running 10.6.8 shows an error "invalid response was received from the device" when I attempt to connect it. Selecting "Trust this computer" yields nothing, the phone does not mount in iTunes or iPhoto etc.

Is there a way to delete the trusted prefs on either the phone or the Mac Pro so these two can connect again?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 18GB ram, 5 int drives (SSD boot)

Afraid not ...

Reason being, iTunes minimum requirements is v10.9.5 or later as noted here > http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Since v10.9 Mavericks is no longer available for download from the App Store, see if your Mac can upgrade to OS X El Capitanv10.11.6.

That way your Mac can run the latest version of iTunes 12.1.5 and you would be able to sync your IPhone.

v10.6.8 Snow Leopard is a very outdated OS X. If you do decide to upgrade, make sure to backup all your important data first.
