Q: iOS 10 iPhone 5 and reboot problem

Background: One and a half month ago my left hand side of the screen (iPhone 5) started to popping out, an indication of battery failure. I ran to a certified apple service in the country I was for vacations. They asked me 100 euros and five working days, so obviously, I switched the battery to a non-certified shop in 1 h (unware of the battery they put in). With iOS 9.3.5 everything was fine for all this period afterwards. No issues at all.

Problem: Last Tuesday (so after one and a half month), I updated to iOS 10. Again everything was running smoothly, until this weekend (3 days later), where my iPhone 5 started to reboot frequently, i.e. Saturday and Sunday should have rebooted more than 20-30 times with no reason.

What I tried: I reset all settings from the settings menu, I performed the sleep and home button function reset, I restored my iPhone 5 to iOS 10. Nothing. The reboot is still occurring. Last thing I noticed is that the rebooting is occurring less frequently (100% sure) while the iPhone is charging.

Question: Is it a software issue relating to iOS 10 (don't believe it now to be honest), or just the coincidence of a problematic battery that occurred with the iOS 10 update, or something else? Should I changed the battery (76 pounds), or give the iPhone to the Genius to get a new one for 198 pounds?

Any help is welcomed. Many thanks.
