I can't get a serial number what do I do?
My phone will not work so I can't get the serial number and I can't get it on iTunes so what do I do?

Your profile states you have an iPhone 6. Is that the iPhone we're talking about? If so, as the article you attached above states, you can use the iMEI instead of the serial number. The IMEI is on the back of the iPhone.
Also, the serial number is on the iPhone's original box.
