Contacts are listed only by phone number on MAC instead of by name as they are on I-phone. How can I fix this?

Hi Artemis18,

Based on what you've stated, it sounds like you are using Messages on your Mac, but you're only seeing numbers and not contact names. I know it's important to be able to easily tell who you are chatting with, so I'm happy to help.

Usually, this happens because the contact is not saved on your Mac. Let's start by checking that you are syncing your contacts from your iPhone so that your Mac can have access to them as well. You can find out how to use iCloud to do this here:

Once you've ensured that your iPhone is syncing contacts to iCloud, let's make sure your iCloud account is configured on your Mac. This article explains how to do that:

OS X El Capitan: Set up iCloud on your Mac

Once you have ensured that your iCloud account is properly configured on both devices, you can use that first article to further troubleshoot the contacts displaying on your Mac.
