No wireless mouse for several minutes after boot up

On bootup wireless keyboard is OK but the wireless mouse has no function for several minutes. This happened about twelve months ago and I read a post that suggested something in a USB port may be a problem. I removed an XSKey in a USB port that was used for Logic 7. The problem went away but has now returned. All USB ports free.

Any ideas?

Open console in Applications>Utilities, check the system log for the date/time of the last Startup for clues.

Click on the top line we want, Shift plus click on the bottom line we want, CMD+c to copy, then paste the text in a reply with CMD+v

A few dozen lines should be about right, hundreds or thousands won't likely be readable
