Thanks for checking out the Apple Support Community! I understand you're having trouble picking up LTE service on your iPhone. I like being able to stay connected to my carrier's LTE service when Wi-Fi isn't available, so I can understand wanting to make sure you're able to connect. I'm happy to help!
I recommend to take a look through all of the troubleshooting steps in the article below. The section labeled 'If you see No Service or Searching' can still he helpful even for the situation you're experiencing.
