Sep 26, 2016 4:38 AM in response to Teejmahalby anewpraise,Here is the response from the NBA 2K16 developer.
As you can see the developer and Apple is playing the blame game. Their response is as follows:
Thank you for taking the time to contact us at 2K Support.
From what I understand you were able to play NBA2K16 on your Apple TV before, but now it keeps crashing. Unfortunately there isn't much we can do to offer troubleshooting support at 2K. Apple Support should offer troubleshooting. However, we have received several tickets in which we were told that Apple Support is sending players back to us.
I did my due diligence of looking for answers though and found that the issue starts after an additional data download (update) from Apple. Also, some players have reported that deleting the game and then reinstalling it has not worked, neither does restarting apple TV or doing a TV cache clear (in which case you would have to back up all your library, which might take some time). So, when you contact them, you would need to provide them with more information, specifically any error message you are getting and the type of Apple TV you have (4th generation?). Finally, please ask them whether the use of their new controller has anything to do with the issue.
We apologize for any inconveniences and thank you for your patience throughout this time! Please contact us again to let us know if your issue was resolved.
Best regards,
2K Support

Sep 26, 2016 8:11 AM in response to anewpraiseby Diana.McCall,Hi. Under Settings > General > Privacy > Diagnostic and Usage Data, you should find crash reports for each time the game failed. They're in order by app name, date, and time. You may find some info on the first page of a dump that you could provide to the game developers. Things like the bug type, and the first few method names (dotted strings beginning with com.Apple). I don't know how to get these out of Apple TV, except by sending them to Apple.

Sep 26, 2016 2:16 PM in response to anewpraiseby Teejmahal,I noticed today that they have completely removed NBA 2K16 from the app store. A move to get people to buy NBA2k17 maybe???

Sep 26, 2016 3:50 PM in response to Teejmahalby anewpraise,I made it my duty today, to get some of actual resolution to the concern. I made sure that both the developer and Apple were made aware of each others response in the matter... over and over again, with documentation to prove it.
In the end, my issue was resolved, and I am very pleased with the outcome.
IN CONCLUSION:
Make sure you contact Apple and the developer, and document everything. (Yes I said everything)
The day you purchased the game, when the problems occurred, did you re-install the game, the developers response, etc... everything. It will provide helpful answers in the end.

Sep 26, 2016 3:53 PM in response to Teejmahalby anewpraise,As far as removing the game, I would say this was the right thing to do especially if the developer has not provided an update that's compatible with Apple's newest update.
I also advised Apple that they should have tighter restrictions on developers too.
In the end, it gives Apple a bad name... all because of a 3rd party app.
