Q: Can no longer edit in imovie

Please see the screencast

 

I can't change position nor can I adjust the speed. I use to be able to do both.

    It appears from the screenshot that you are trying to drag and drop in the browser. Moving clips around can only be done in the timeline, Clips in the browser are sorted based on the settings in the view menu. As far as speed is concerned it looks like you were trying to change the speed of a still not a video clip. Adjust applies only to clips. If I misunderstand I'm sorry but that is what I see in the screenshot.
