error 48 in itunes restoring ipnoe 4s

i've been trying to restore iphone 4s in itunes on windows vista , have the latest itunes for win vista.

its not the cable or the usb or the host file. i did get an error 3194 one time. i do not think its the host file. apple does not show in host file. just last two lines that say local host with some numbers. this last time i tried to restore i connected modem to my notebook , it tried to restore and the process was so quicker. i got the unknown error (48) . Can anyone please help me with this error ? i cannot find the erroe code on apple support page.
