Q: Lightning to auxillary

I am looking for a cord that connects from the lightning port into the auxillary port of a car. Does anyone know if Apple makes this cable or will have one coming? The 3.5mm to lightning adapter has terrible sound quality.

iPhone 7, iOS 10

I see that you indicated you have an iPhone 7; you can either use the Lightening to aux adapter and then use any stereo cable to connect to the auxiliary in of your car. I have not seen any issues with quality.

Did you try connecting an older iPhone or any other phone to the aux in of your car? How was the audio quality?

Check the volume on the phone; on some cars the volume on the phone needs to be turned up quite high.

If you're looking for a direct Lightning to Male 3.5mm stereo adapter, I don't believe neither Apple nor any 3rd party company makes one of those at the moment.

The Apple Lightning to 3.5mm adapter is the best there is at this time.

Audio quality however, should be no worse than a regular 3.5 mm port on previous iPhones.

Yes, that is precisely what I'm looking for - I guess I hoped that Apple had already made this type of cord well before the release of the iPhone 7. I am sure there's a market for it amongst new iPhone 7 owners. Hopefully that will be in the works by next year. Thanks for your response anyhow!

Thanks, I will definitely try it in another car and see how it goes.
