Can I use iPhone 7/7 Plus from USA in Malaysia?

Hi all,

My parent is on vacation in USA currently. I am wondering if I can buy Iphone7/7 Plus from Apple store (paying full price for unlocked iphone) and use it in Malaysia (using malaysian Telco line) ?

I was asked if Malaysian telco is GSM or CDMA. Any one could help me on this enquiry ?

I was told Iphone 7/7plus is covered by international warranty. Does it mean i wont have problem claiming warranty in Malaysia for iphone bought in USA

Thanks.

If you are wondering if you can use your device with a Malaysian carrier, there would be no problem since your iPhone is unlocked.

If you are wondering about your warranty, the Apple Limited Warranty ensures your iPhone can be serviced internationally at certified Apple Stores. (This may not include all countries.) Remember, this is only for hardware defects and not for accidental damage.

If you have Apple Care, your plan covers accidental damage and will also be serviced internationally.

No, iPhone do not have International warranty.

All warranty and services claim must be in the country of purchase (your case is U.S.)

Apple do not accept post. You have to send to a friend in the U.S. and take it to an Apple Store on your behalf.

It's not advisable to buy an iPhone from somewhere and use it in your country of residence.
