Sep 19, 2016 8:06 PM in response to ver8by Grant Bennet-Alder,when you have a battery-powered computer, the power simply does not fail -- when AC power disappears, your MacBook switches to battery operation (which is normal for a notebook computer).
If you do manage to completely deplete the battery as well, restarting after the power failure is pointless-- as there is no more power available. Your Mac will go into deep sleep instead.
There are good reasons why that feature is not available on battery-powered computers.
