When I try to open a file or map with Itunes from my QNAP NAS through finder and shared devices, then it won't open or it opens very slowly. Can somebody help me with solving this problem? The connection between my mac book pro and my NAS is wireless.

What happens if you try opening one without iTunes? Does this really have anything to do with iTunes at all? If not then you'd probably get a wider range of people experienced with general network issues on a forum for the system version you are using.

It's only with Itunes. When I open the files or maps with QuickTime Player or with Elmedia Video Player, then it doesn't give any problem. It works good and fast in those programs.
So it has to be a problem with Itunes.

We need to know details. Is the entire library on the external drive or only media files? Or are these just files you are trying to import to an internal library? iTunes does a lot of modifying of its library file when you do even the smallest action with iTunes and I am not sure if it is trying to do too much for your connection. Also note that iTunes and NAS having issues is not at all unusual on this forum, and the problems come in all forms, many of which have no real reason to them and are also unsolvable. NAS is a great concept but when it comes to using it with iTunes you are running a risk. Have you completely reset all systems?
Like you see, I'm just trying to open een mp3 file from my library in my shared JUSTNAS.

The JUSTNAS is an Qnap TS-253 Pro and is wireless connected to my Mac Book Pro.
I don't know what kind of information you need more.

So you are going to the NAS in Finder, and telling it to open a mp3 file with iTunes? Normally if you do that iTunes will copy the file to the location you have designated as the place to store media files, then add the listing to the iTunes database, rewriting the database and recalculating any smart playlists you have. From your NAS folder structure this is not the location of file on the NAS, but maybe you do have your media files being stored on the NAS too?
Or as I said before this could just be another un-explainable problem with iTunes and a NAS. If you ask your NAS manufacturer they will say it is iTunes, if you ask Apple they will say it is a problem with the NAS software.
Another issue I wonder is wi-fi. Can you hardwire this to just exclude that as a possible source of issue?

I called Qnap and they said that it was probably a problem of Apple. And I know that Apple would say the opposite.
I think that you are right with your first sentence. Itunes will probably try to copy it and that takes too much effort.
I only ask myself if there is a solution for it, because I don't have enough space on my Mac to put all my music on it.
By the way, it can't be a problem with the wifi, because with other mediaplayers it doesn't give a problem. Even if i stream it to my samsung television it works perfectly.
