    Hi giligil,

Thanks for posting your question in the Apple Support Community! I understand you're having trouble with your iPhone not turning on. I rely solely on my iPhone, so I can understand wanting to make sure that you're able to use yours too. I'm happy to help.

Since your iPhone is password protected, you'll need to be able to enter your password on your iPhone before you'll be able to use it in iTunes on your computer. The first thing I recommend to try if your iPhone has a black screen or won't turn on is a force restart.

    How to force restart

You should force restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch as a last resort, and only if it's not responding. Follow these steps to force restart your device:

    • On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

If you're still having trouble with getting your iPhone to start up, I recommend to take a look at the rest of the steps mentioned here:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on

    Take care.
