Q: iMacs being dropped of Active Directory
Good morning,
I've been asked to do something I admittedly know very little about and I will continue from here to the web to look for an answer. All the info I have is from what I was told by PC IT people so I have no verified anything first hand:
I department for a company I work for has several macs that are (possibly) running Mavricks 10.9.? (see above, and ignore my system specs on the bottom)
apparently when the systems go to sleep or at some other point they are knocked off the Active Directory to the point where Network is no longer accessible.
the users are standard accounts
the "wake for network access" is enabled in the energy saver control panel.
I know nothing about the AD sever on the other end.
not sure if the LAN cards are dynamic or static IP, I would guess dynamic.
That is the extent of the information I was given and I will be down there later today for further information.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should be looking for?
Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5), Dual Xeon 2.4, 64 GB RAM
