You're right about the 5s not having the LTE voice option. But it does have the option to turn off LTE data when roaming. When disabling this my phone went from one dot (cell signal) to five. My phone never showed the "No Service" it would just drop to one dot and would stop working.

Thanks!!! This worked for my iphone 5, except my menu chain was

Settings -> Cellular -> Cellular Data Options  ->  Enable LTE   (turn it off),  then under Roaming turn off Voice Roaming, Data Roaming, and International CDMA.

Then, like magic, my Verizon cellular came back with 2-3 bars.

And then I turned LTE and all the roaming back on... and the Verizon cellular stayed up.  For now.

Thank you, Apple, for another faulty update!

This is what worked for me:

    Turn off roaming.

I turned it back on right after, voice service still connected.

Verizon, iPhone 5. I went through many tiers of Verizon support, tried all these reset tricks. Today in a Verizon store I was given a new SIM card, it activated no issue but still no voice service, LTE only. Turning off roaming is the only thing that worked.

I have had the same issue with my iPad mini 2 with cellular.  It continues to say no service for 90-95% of the day.  This started on September 15th before I installed ios 10.  Up until that point I have NEVER had connectivity issues.  I was told to try installing the new ios, which I did, reset my network settings, powered down, toggled the cellular and roaming on and off...and it continues to say no service most of the time.  Even when it does say that there is service, it struggles to stay connected.  Help please!

I am also having this same issue on my iPhone 6, running iOS 10.0.1.   I have already checked the SIM card with other phone and its work fine also i reset all the settings and erase all content on my phone but still my phone in Searching for Network or Showing 'No Service'.

I feel this issue has been started after update an iOS 10.0.1

    Please help...

I have been having this same problem since around 22 September on my iPhone 6, then when 10.0.2 came out it fixed it for a day - then back to "searching/no service" again and sometimes getting signal for half a day then gone and other times just 30 minutes, it first started that I had reception showing but could not make calls it would come up "call failed" this happened for about 24 hours before it started loosing signal. Been through every step shown above with no luck.

I just had an apt at apple and they were no help.... said that it was a hardware issue and sometimes the hardware just wares out.  I think it is a pretty big coincident that all of our hardware is wearing out after installing ios 10.  I'm rolling back and installing 9.3.2 and seeing if that helps.  I'll let you know what I find.

Please do let us know.  I was also told it could be a hardware issue...but I find that hard to believe, especially given that we're all experiencing this at the same time.  When is Apple going to acknowledge this is their issue to fix.

I went back to 9 and then tried 10 again. Turned off LTE helped but at least once a day I have to turn on and off Airplane Mode this seems to do the trick. It's not old hardware that is just stupid either it works or it doesn't. It's dot like the hardware is getting tired and taking a nap a few time a day.

Reverting back to 9 did not work... still no service...just says "searching".  Going to try the open up and clean the inside route next....desperate not to buy a new phone.  I'll keep posting my results...could be a few days until I find the microscopic star screwdriver required to remove the screws to open the shell.

I Am having the same problem with my iPad Air. No service on and off throughout the day. Att told me to get a new SIM card. Went to an att store and they told me it couldn't be the SIM card because I have service sometimes. Is Apple going to ever fix this?

    Hi,

    I have 6s and updated 10.0.2 tonight.

Cellular Network connection was gone, restart doesn't helped. Sim Card re-insertion (no luck) but luckily resetting network setting helped.
