iPad
Q: Text replacement gone After ios 10.0.1 upgrade
i have an ipad pro 9.7 and an iphone 5s
i updated the software to ios 10 and the iPad wouldn't recognize the charging cord, the apple store replaced the ipad. Upon receiving the new ipad i proceeded to restore from my latest icloud back up.
since updating both devices to ios 10.0.1 i have lost the text replacement on both devices.
all my shortcuts for work are gone.
I have tried signing out of icloud and re-booting the ipad so far with no change.
I do not have a mac computer.
iPad, iOS 6.0.1

Hi rluschtinetz,
I understand from your post that after updating to the iOS 10.0.1 on your iPhone 5s and iPad Pro 9.7, that you are missing the text replacement on both devices. Using text replacements are very convenient and I will be happy to provide some information on this.
Since restoring from an iCloud backup can be time consuming depending on the amount of data included in the backup, you can check to see if the restore process has completed by going to Settings > iCloud > Storage. Also, I want to make sure that you are signed into iCloud on both devices. Then check to see if you can see your text replacements on either of your devices. If you have a recent iTunes backup for either one of the devices, you can also do a restore from that to the respective device as well.
Have a good day.
