Q: iPhone 6 iOS10 Battery Percentage Incorrect

On my iPhone 6 running latest iOS 10 (10.0.1) my battery percentage indicator is incorrect most of the time. I cannot tell if the percentage indicator is stuck or something else is going on. This happened w/iOS 9, but seems to have been worsened with iOS 10. Below are two typical scenarios:

1. Indicator states value > 50%, but then shuts down

2. Indicator states value ~ 10%, but then when plugged into charging cable indicator jumps to 30%.

I see that when people were complaining about this prior the answer was to 'upgrade to iOS 9.3+' - well, that obviously is not working for me. I'd like to have an indicator that actually represents the amount of battery life I have left.

I have the same issue, since upgrading to iOS 10.  I have calibrated the battery several times.  I have also fully restored the phone to factory default.  Now instead of abruptly shutting down at 30-50%, it is consistently shutting down at 20%.  Some help, but come on apple....

I have the same problem as everyone does here ever since I upgraded to iOS 10. It has been working fine in iOS 9 for me but it haunted me after I upgraded to iOS 10.

Sometimes it stays 100% whole day and turned off due to insufficient battery at night which is my normal usage. Sometimes it turns off randomly (70 30 20) at different level of percentage and when it was 1% but it could last a few hours. I believe this is caused by the iOS update.

The only seem to work solution is to perform hard reset after fully charged in the morning as I leave it charging overnight. However, it tends to drop faster than before.

Apple please rectify this annoying issue.

This happened again this morning (shocker I know). Woke up, turned phone on and battery % was at 40%. Used phone and % went down to 36%. Then commuted to work and used phone to stream music. As I walked into work the % said 35% then proceeded to shut down. Plugged in charger and within 5 minutes the % was up to 40%. Good times.

I too have this issue, whereby at random battery levels, the phone just turns itself off. When I try to turn it on, I get the red battery indicator advising me to plug in to charge.

10 seconds after plugging in, it powers back up and I have a very high percentage, i.e. 80%!

Never had any problems like this prior to iOS10

I have the same problem with my iphone6s and I am on the latest ios 10.0.2. It is making me wonder if this is more than a software issue...
