How do I adjust the FONT SIZE on Safari 10?

I'm using OS X 10.11.6, and I just downloaded Safari 10.0. It seems to have replaced the "minimum font size" with a "zoom" function; but there's a big problem: If I make the font size as large as I prefer, the page runs off the screen; if I make the page zoom optimal, the font is too small! So I have to either squint at the text, or keep sliding back and forth to see the whole page. This is annoying and stupid. Isn't there a way to adjust the font size ALONE?

Have same question. Safari 10.0 is USELESS to me if I can't change font size. Never imagined Apple would do such a Microsoft (see IE) thing.

Hello, I had the same problem and I found the solution (second result in google for me) here:

Change the font size or zoom level of web pages in Safari - Apple Support

Basically Command-Plus/Command-Minus zooms the page , not what you want , but

Option-Command-Plus/Option-Command-Minus increases and decreases the text zoom, I use it all the time too, now it's just an extra key to press, I'll live with it :-)

Thanks, to you and to the others who let me know about this. Safari is now working the way it's supposed to, and page loading speed is back to normal.

I have to give credit to Apple; they really stepped in it when they deleted the Minimum Font Size control, but they acted quickly to restore it when they saw our (uniformly negative) feedback.

In Safari, click View, then click Customize Toolbar. Look for the "Zoom" button that has two As in different sizes, indicating a tool to adjust font size. Click and drag that button onto your browser toolbar, and you will be able to zoom into any page. Unfortunately I don't think this is a text-only zoom, but rather an absolute zoom into the entire page. Better than nothing, though!
