Music won't play after ios 10 upgrade

Now sound is coming out while playing music after i upgrade to ios 10.

iPhone 5s, iOS 10

Hi there ustad_khan,

It sounds like your music is either not even beginning to play, or it is playing but no audio is coming from the phone. If it's the latter use this article to help troubleshoot that:

If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker

If it's the former, force close the Music and the Settings apps:

Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then restart your phone:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks for your answer. You were right, the music were playing but no sound was coming out. But when I make a call, I can clearly hear the sounds, even on the speaker too. Also youtube app was playing songs perfectly fine. so there is no problem with the speaker or settings. I installed some other music app for iphone, they could not even play the musics (apple music app was showing that it was playing). I deleted all the songs and copied again from itunes to my phone but still the problem remains. It's just a ios 10 bug. I hope they solve it at their next ios version.

I appreciate the followup! I feel that we can continue troubleshooting if you wish. The next steps would be to backup your phone to iTunes:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Then restore your phone to factory defaults and test out whether or not the music plays.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

When you verify that it works fine when restored to factory defaults, go ahead and restore the backup you made to the device. This will help us isolate the issue to either the iOS installation, or the backed up data:

Neither music nor videos in the default app and any of the other apps (shared in messaging apps, chrome or safari or youtube)as well plays but after restarting the problem is solved. But this is not the fix for such basic features in a phone filled with various high quality features. This bug is really defamatory for Apple.

I had this problem too, sometimes default Music playing without any sound while another music app still ok. I tried with volume button but it didn't work. The only way is restart my phone and truthly it makes me annoyed. This bug is not big, but makes me fell like the phone is not worth for my expected. So disappointed!!!!!
