I understand that you are trying to add links to your Pages document, but they are defaulting to Apple.com. I know it's nice to enrich your documents in this way, so I'm happy to help.
Since your links are going to Apple.com by default, it sounds like you may not be removing the sample text in the box when prompted for what URL you want the link to lead to. This page provides more details on how to use this feature:
Pages for Mac 5.0: Link text in a documentTurn text into a link
You can use a word or phrase as a link without showing the URL or email address in your document.
-
Select the text, click Insert in the toolbar, then choose Add Link.
The link window opens with the selected text in the Display field.
-
Enter the full URL in the Link field.
-
Click Open to verify the link.
