Apple ID's password's been reset + email lost

I used an old hotmail account to register for my Apple ID that I used quite oftenly. But when trying to make a purchase recently I found out that my password was incorrect, which was strange enough. I tried resetting the password via email but after trying to log into my hotmail account got the message that the account does not exist. The security questions I set about 6 years ago, which I know the answer to but Apple tells me is incorrect.


What worries me is that this Apple ID has my credit card to it and though I'm afraid that someone else might try to make purchases through my account.
