Does anyone know how to adjust the length of the artifact effect on a clip in Pro X 2.2? I wanted to use this effect on a short portion of a clip, but I couldn't add any keyframes to it. This effect doesn't seem to have any handles to play around with in the Video Animator. Any help will be appreciated.

I have another question: When you use the blade tool on a clip in the timeline, even though you don't move it, you get a jump cut. This never happened in the previous versions of Final Cut. Is there a way to get around this problem?
Most of the parameters are keyframeable.
Are you blading the clip with Artifacts? At the cut point the effect is being reset to its start position, two separate effects, one on each clip.
You should be able to accomplish this without Blading.

Using the Inspector in conjunction with the Video Animator may help you getting the task accomplished.
