Apple Mail Aliases Labels

Hello, I know that in iCloud.com I can see the label color I put for any alias i've created. Is there anyway for it to reflect on the actual Apple Mail in macOS or iOS?.. Because all the email sent to any of my aliases just reflects like any other email going to my main iCloud email. Thank you!

Hi Awokz. What you ask is possible.

Go to Mail preferences

Choose the 'Rules' tab

Add a rule & give it a description name

In the 'Any' filter, set conditions to:

1/ To

2/ is equal to

3/ choose the email alias you want to apply this to

Under 'Perform the Following Actions', set conditions to:

1/ Set Colour

2/ of background

3/ Choose a Colour of your fancy

That's it! Everything now comes through that inbox colour coded.

Note: if you want to apply this to the mail already received:

1/ Choose the appropriate alias inbox

2/ Press 'Control A' (to highlight all mail)

3/ Go to the Mail menu up the top and click on 'Message'

4/ Select 'Apply Rules'

Hope thats helps!

What you ask is not possible, though I understand from where you're coming from.

You can let Apple know you'd like to see this improvement -- http://www.apple.com/feedback/

I can sit here and chat about all the discrepancies in features I've seen between mail on iCloud.com versus mail on the dock app, but at the end of the day, thankfully it's not my main mail application I use, though I can certainly understand what you're referring to.

You can see the difference in tag colors in the iCloud.com Mail client (browser) but in Mail for macOS and iOS I don't see the different tag colors. There is nothing differentiating my alias email from my main email address. For example, In iCloud.com Mail (browser) If I receive an email in my "professional alias" it would be with the "green label/tag", but if I receive it in my "gaming alias" it would be with the "red label/tag".. But in iOS and macOS all those email are not separated by colors or anything. Not having that feature it's defeating the "alias" purpose to some point because everything goes to the inbox without any separation.
