No version of Matlab is working on MacOS Sierra

Mathworks released an statement advising not to update until this is fixed. Why we always have the same problem with MacOS updates every year? Matlab is one of the most used softwares for engineering! (<- This is a very important field of knowledge.) I don't even want to look up for the other programs I need! Now we'll all have to wait to update until this is fixed.

Why do we always have the same problem with macOS updates every year? Because Mathworks provides very poor customer service. They have had months to make sure their software works with Sierra. They chose to ignore your needs as their customer. Now you will have to wait until Mathworks is good and ready to fix their software.
