I WILL be blind if they don't fix this. Several people in the other thread also unhappy.

Zooming is not the same thing as font size. I need 16-point size to read it.

I agree. The zoom is simply not the same as font size as mentioned. I tried to go back to an earlier version of Safari via time machine but it would not let me. I have to play around with viewing size for almost every page. Really bad!

I have this issue too.  I set the zoom to 125% just so I can read the text, but that also makes the whole webpage larger, which means I need to resize my window to take up more of the screen. I need at least font size 16 to read it as well.

I hope they fix this by giving us back the font size option soon!

    Hello !

You , opened safari preferences - clicked on advanced , and taken the screen shot by pressing command + shift + 4 , right clicked  on the image on desktop - open with -  as preview.app( default ) .

Click on mark up tool - click on selection tool - choose as rectangular section - took the cursor on top menu bar - edit - clicked on delete  , again clicked on text ( T) and  dragged and dropped the dotted square and you moved it by length or to say on right hand side ,you wrote minimum font size - where is it now .

Closed the window - again a window appears - prompts to save ( you clicked on save ) .

I even tried restoring Safari 9 to my desktop, renaming it (Safari9) and copying that to Applications, but it didn't work.  It retained all the Safari 10 fonts and preferences.

Has everyone sent feedback about this?  http://www.apple.com/feedback/

This is terrible. It's been such a good feature and now it's gone. Completely disappointed!!!

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner.

It looks like Apple in their infinite wisdom removed this setting in an exercise in simplification gone insane. I've sent them feedback, but have reverted to chrome until they decide to fix this stupidity.

This Terminal command works brilliantly - just change the number 14 into what suits you, 16,18 or whatever, then press enter.

    defaults write com.apple.Safari com.apple.Safari.ContentPageGroupIdentifier.WebKit2MinimumFontSize -int 14

Brilliant, cheers!  This has fixed the issue for me.  No more squinting at the screen from about 5cm in front of it haha.

    Copy this line:

    defaults write com.apple.Safari com.apple.Safari.ContentPageGroupIdentifier.WebKit2MinimumFontSize -int 14

Then open the Terminal app which is in your Utilities and paste the line into the terminal app, then change the number 14 into  maybe 16, 18 or whatever suits you, then press the enter key. Quit terminal and restart Safari. Job done.

Do I simply overwrite what's written in the terminal or paste it just where the cursor is?
