finding and deleting movie memory

My storage indicates that I have 39 GBs of movie files. However, I can't find them. I've eliminated all of the video clips, etc. (I think) Emptied the trash, but I'm still showing the same amount of files used up under movies. I've never downloaded movies or TV shows. Does anyone know how to find these files and delete them?

That storage indicator is notoriously inaccurate due to Spotlight’s rather buggy nature. You may or may not actually have 39 GB of movie files. If you do they will mostly be found in the Movies folder or the Music folder. (Yeah, I know a movie in a music folder doesn’t quite make sense, but iTunes movies get put into a Movies folder inside the iTunes folder and if you purchased iTunes music videos they’ll be in the iTunes folder too somewhere with the music.)
